Annual Energy Research Symposium and Seed Grant Competition
Scene from 2008 Research Symposium
To encourage the rapid growth of interdisciplinary and collaborative research, the University of Colorado at Boulder Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute (RASEI - formerly the CU-Boulder Energy Initiative) and its Leadership Council sponsor an Annual Energy Research Symposium each fall. The main activity for the symposium is a poster session in which faculty, research associates, graduate students and scientists display research projects and ideas for tackling energy and related climate change or sustainability issues. More importantly, participants can learn about related research interests and expertise on the CU campuses and at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and other local federal laboratories. Poster presentations on all aspects of renewable energy, energy sustainability, or the effects of energy production and use on the environment are welcome. Many productive collaborations have resulted from chance encounters by poster presenters at previous symposia.
